Termly Newsletter

Looking back over both recent weeks, and the entire academic year, it remains an absolute privilege to lead Amery Hill School. Our students’ energy and good humour, and the skill and commitment of the staff here, make each day at the school special – and it is, of course, a pleasure to work in a school where there is such strong parental support for what we do.

The summer term at Amery Hill is always busy, productive and celebratory, and this year has been no different! As parents and carers will already know, our ICARE values fundamentally underpin the work of the school, and this was demonstrated at our recent ICARE Awards Evening. It was wonderful to celebrate the achievements of so many of our students, and, as part of the event, to award the first ever ‘Golden Leaf Awards’ for national or international representation / exceptional civic and heroic acts / high level intellectual or professional breakthroughs. It was a wonderful, if very warm, evening!

Although it is impossible for me to mention everything that has happened over the course of the term here, I do hope that when you read the summer term newsletter, it provides you with a genuine insight into our school, and why it remains so popular with families from both the local community and beyond. I believe that our work together ensures that Amery Hill School is a very special place, and one of which, collectively, as a community, we should feel incredibly proud.
